Garage Remote The remote to my garage will not work. The batteries were changed and still not working.

Try changing the battery on the remote.

Ken, you may have to reprogram transmitter after battery change, check your manual, if you do not have manual, Google search your make and model# manual.

The remote may have to be reprogrammed, also make shure the battery is new not just because it,s in a package but because of the freshness date , also check the contac points of the battery in the remote , sometimes they get battery acid on them and could damage it, stiny circuit board ..if all else fails you can purchase a new remote on ebay depending on your garage door opener brand model and frequency ! Did the remote and keypad work before you changed the battery? Changing the battery in the keypad should not affect the remote.

meerkat1 your receiver has quit working which is part of the logic board. The logic board runs around $80.00 for the part alone. Might be time to get a new opener.

Reprogram the remote. Press the learn button on the back of the opener and then press the remote button until the light on the opener blinks once.
