Hi susan sorry for being late with reply ,the most common fault for sticky keys is (spillage ) was there any sugary liquids spilled on the keys if so you will need to get them cleaned by a pro do not try and do this yourself although depending on how many are sticking ,iff all they will need to be removed and the base cleaned thorily so from my own experience with this sort of fault I would leave it in to get it fixed I hope this answered your question

Susan, Keyboards cost less than $30 on ebay , I recommend replacing the keyboard .
some are easier to replace than others. I charge about $40 labor plus parts .
Look for a local PC tech to install the keyboard if you buy one your self.

Thanks to "taramarsh" for reply but meant to ask

If it doesn't have a built in switch, meaning a physical one, then you should try looking at the keyboard for an fn key and what Fx (x ie F1 etc.) Or if you don't have that too, you can opt to use windows key + "x"

I have a toshiba satelitte L30 10Y and have tried to put maximum memory in it. My problem is it will only recognise 1gb sticks at a time and when 2 sticks are in it will not boot at all. both sticks work...

I suggest to use only 1gb stick on your laptop. Some of the machine don't require to upgrage memory size from the original size due to system limitation and this will some leads to system hang or wont able to boot machine at all.

Connecting tv with dish satelitte reciever and dvd player

"I would like to be able to record from the satelitte."

Are you trying to record your satellite programming onto a DVD recorder? If so, the recorder needs to be connected between the satellite receiver and the TV. If this is still a problem please indicate the recorders make and model number.
