For that press RESET button of your router for 10 seconds then it will automatic restart and reset. then connect router to computer lan port with lan cable. then you can access it with default ip addresshttp;//192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.1.2 Type user as 'admin" and password as "admin" or "1234" or "password" or blank then you can see configuration page of router. Then click on wireless->security then note down the password.It's your password to connect wireless.

Step 1: For PC UsersAccess the router's web-based setup page.
PC Step A: Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer
.
PC Step B: Go to the Address bar and enter your router's IP address then press [Enter].
NOTE: If you are using Mac to access the router's web-based setup page, following these directions:
Mac Step A: Open a web browser such as Safari.
Mac Step B: Click Safari on the dock and on the Address bar and enter your router's IP address ( is the default IP of most Linksys routers) then press [Return].

NOTE
: If the IP address of the router has been changed, type the router's IP address in the Address bar instead.
The router's IP address can be changed by:

  • Running the router's setup CD.
  • Changing it on the router's web-based setup page.
If you forgot the router's IP address you can:
  • Check the router's IP address.
  • Press the Reset button at the back of the router for 30 seconds.
NOTE: This procedure will reset your router to factory default. Any settings on the router will be erased. The router's IP address will be (the default IP of most Linksys routers) and "admin" will be the password.
PC and Mac Step 2: When the router's web-based setup page appears, click Administration.
PC and Mac Step 3: Enter the new password on the Password and Re-enter to confirm fields.

Linskys e1000 reset and password

Hello from here you can download a manual:

You need to install Cisco Connect software.
To reset it you have to press a small button at the back of the router
With power on.

E1000 Default Password & Other Default Login Data Version Default Username Default Password Default IP Privileges All [none] admin 192.168.1.1 Administrator

There is no backdoor password.
The only thing you can do is to reset the router and then change the password and set up the wireless settings again.

Where do you get cisco connect

Cisco connect is the software that comes with the router.
You might have installed the Cisco connect software while installing your router for the first time.
Once you open the Cisco connect software for E1000, you will find the password to access the wireless network.
If you have not installed Cisco connect then you can open the setup page of the router and check the wireless settings.
