I want to remove security password of my PC - Dell OptiPlex 360 Desktop Computer

There is no way to remove the HDD Password unless you know what it is. You have to get into the BIOS, select the "Security" option and select the "Remove/add password" option. BUT you have to know the original password in order to remove it.

Someone set a policy on your machine to enforce certain rules about passwords. Best to ask this person to modify these rules for you. Alternatively you can run gpedit.msc, then follow this path to change them yourself: Local Computer Policy / Computer Configuration / Windows Settings / Security Settings / Account Policy / Password Policy.
Note also this:
- You cannot delete the inbuilt Administrator account.
- Having administrator accounts with a blank password is a big security risk.

This should work.

open your bios , go to security,
choose, change security password
enter "your" password >press Enter
for the new password enter nothing just press enter twice.
message " password changed" should appear.
leave bios with save changes and restart.

Hi, To remove Bios security password login in Bios then go to the security tab and remove the password. Or the mother board jumper reseting can remove the password of the Bios without Bios login.

If there were an easy way around this, it wouldn't worth anything, would it? Encryption is pointless if all you have to do is reset the password. You should be able to reset the password to get Windows to boot with one of the many *nix boot disks with password remover (Ophcrack comes to mind), but that won't decrypt any secured folders. However you'd be able to use the computer without reinstalling Windows.

take the cover open and remove the (cmos) watch battery on the main board for about 30 seconds, replace it, this will reset the password.

The only thing you can do is to reinstall to os at this time or try to fine the password

i install a pc security software and change the default "SECURITY" password to my own. and the prob is i forgot my NEW password
