Flextone 3 one speaker not working

Then you either have a blown amp or speaker. Turn the amp off and move the wires from the speaker on the working side to the other speaker. If the other speaker works, you have a dead amp channel. if it does not, move the wires from the speaker on the non-working side to the other speaker. If that works, you have a dead speaker. Dead amp channel means take it to the shop. Dead speaker means buy a new one from Line 6 and install.

Peavey XR8600D main outs simply stopped working. Unit is less than a year old but I am too far from any repair shop to make any use of the warranties (Samoa, South Pacific). I turned it on one night and...

These had a little switch on the far right side that shifted modes from stereo to main and monitor. Check the position as it is tiny push button. Also try sending line levels DIRECTELY into the power amp inpout jacks to verify the amps are both OK... if not, the repair shop is only option... there is only one main fuse for the amp and if one side is working, then the fuse is good.

My Orange amp recently stopped working, as in no sound

The pilot light means NOTHING other than the switch is on and unit is getting power from a receptacle.

There is an electronic failure that requires servicing and until unit is opened and analyzed we can''t help you further. Take it to a shop or a person experienced in electronic repair.

My Orange amp recently stopped working, as in no sound

Likely the power amp section has had a failure. There are likely several bad components and it will take an experienced electronics person to weed out all the bad parts.

The light has little to do with the condition of the unit. It MAY only indicate that power switch is on or that one of several voltages from a power supply is present.

Laney GH50L guitar amp head and cab. The bypass switch works fine but suddenly the insert/side chain positions for the FX loop has stopped working resulting in the volume dropping so low and sounding so...

The symptoms are common to a capacitively coupled signal which is often a bad switch on an insert jack that is bent so as to not contact the signal to pass it to the power amp.

The jacks on MANY of these amps are plain JUNK. If a cable is yanked a bit it can bend the spring contact. When the conttact is very close, but not touching, the capacitance will pass the high frequencies but not the low and ALL frequencies will be very attenuated.

Distortion stopped working

Hi there. Check the foot switch. Plugged in all the way? Still not working? Use an ohm meter to check the foot switch. (unplug from amp and check for continuity across the plug. click switch on and off.) If alway open (no continuity) bad switch.
Thanks
