Is there an online manual available for an AOC 22LVWK Monitor? I''m having trouble taking mine apart and don't want to break anything in the process.

It depends on the AOC monitor feauture, if it does have an HDMI port, you are good to go. you will be needing a micro usb to HDMI CABLE connect it from your mobile phone to your AOC monitor and select the input mode to HDMI. If your AOC have vga port instead of HDMI ,You'll be needing another type of cable called micro usb to vga. It is all available online for purchase.

and AOC web site stinks on all that . good idea is sell any AOC and buy Viewsonic that is fully and freely documented.

the stand top part has plastic cover that snaps off to reach stand screws.

There are two reasons, the inverter transformer, "usually more than one" is the most likely to break down, the second issue that crops up is the backlight, "again more than one" do go on a occassion.

Open Control Panel - Display - Settings tab then in Screen resolution move the slide to get the screen resolution 1680 x 1050.
If this resolution is not available the the graphics card cannot support this resolution and you need to set it as close to 1680 X 1050 as possible or upgrade to a better graphics card to get this resolution.

Many brands and models of computer devices are not automatically recognized, because they're not included in the OS database (which sometimes is updated). Without knowing the OS you're using, it's helpful to use the most current drivers, matched to your OS.

re install your sound driver (mother board and utilities)

sounds like the backlight is defective. You can probably get a new backlight online if your comfortable taking apart sensitive electronic equipment BUT you must be very very carefull and handle the lcd with care as you can easyly damage it. Oh one more thing the power supply may also be defective for the backlight. I would contact the manufacture to see about the repair or replacement parts as they should be listed in your operators manual. Good Luck
