SOURCE: mira cold feed only power shower
Hi davecross,
I'm Harvey, the Master Plumber.
Your question is:
water pressure not great would a external pump help.
Depends on your situation. If you live in a house with a well pump then turn up the pressure.
If you have city water and the pressure is lacking then either install a house pump after the meter or if it is just the shower you're worried about then a booster pump on the shower line is the ticket. Be aware that useing the booster may reduce the pressure at the other faucets in the house while it's being used. The house pump will not exhibit this. You will likely need a local pro to help you with installation.

This sounds like the elements or you just may need to turn the heat up. If it under two years old call the manu on the warranty. They make a good product so they should help you. I would check the heat setting first, though I doubt it is going to be the prob.
SOURCE: WATER DELIVERED FROM SHOWER HEAD NOT HOT ENOUGH
I think some shower valves have a safety setting to prevent burning. maybe you could adjust that to be hotter.

Switch off the power supply to the shower at the consumer unit, it will probably have its own individual circuit breaker as it is such a heavy user of power. Try now to switch the shower, it should be dead and that is good. Remove the control knobs and remove the front of the shower unit. Check the electrics with an electrical screw driver to make sure that there is nothing that will cause electrocution. Trace the source of the leak, the most likely place is the compression joint to the mains water pipe. Tighten the compression nut until the dripping stops. Dry everything off with a paper towel and check there is no sign of further leaking. Reassemble the front with the knobs and switch the power back on.
