You can download a manual for almost any equipment by Googling the make and model followed by the word Manual, then follow the appropriate link(s).

How do i transfer saved images from the PC back to the camera? I have loaded the pics onto my laptop and for some reason the pics have gone from the memory card. Can i get them back onto the camera??

For most cameras, this is not only not possible but, even trying it can cause problems with your camera. If your pictures are being automatically deleted after downloading, it's usually because the program you use for downloading is set to do that. If you don't like that feature, you will need to go into the settings area and change it. Or, you could just download to a folder you create on your desktop. That way, your pics are still on your memory card and you can now send the pics in the folder to any program you like.

I don't know how to transfer pictures from my camara to my USB and then to computer or how to transfer pictures from my USB to computer (ie. don't know how to transfer to dBay). Thank you!

Sorry, but the answer you seek is much too long for this site. You need to sit down with the instruction book for your camera and then the help section for beginners on the Ebay site.

Hi, I own the Canon PowershotA540, recently I discoverd that once I put the SD card in my computer to download the pictures it downloads them, but once I put the card back into my camera all the pictures...

This sounds like the program you are using to download the pics is set to erase them from the card when the download is complete. You need to dig into the program and adjust the settings. That's as much as I can tell you since I don't know what program you're using. Your camera is fine.

I have a new computer and my Lumix viewer does work anymore. I have a DMC FZ7 Panasonic camers. How do I re-load it so I can transfer my pics to my PC

You can always use a card reader instead of the camera to download your pics...then you don't need any special software. typrice_196.jpg

I recently puchased a Vivitar ViviCamX327 and cannot find my manual. I need to know how to take pics. that aren't so blurry and are not blue in color. Also, is there any way I can get a mini manual...

You can download the manual from the manufacturer's web site at
http://www.vivitar.com/files_products/10/ViviCam%20X327%20User%20Manual.pdf

It's 55 pages so I don't know if that qualifies as "mini" in your book, but you can always print just the pages you need.

I am getting an error when trying to transfer the pics from my Nikon Coolpix S9 to my computer

If you really want to transfer your pictures from your camera to your computer, with a cable, then reinstall the Cd provided with the camera, that should fix the problem.

But in any case the best way to transfer what's on the camera is to take the memoy card out and plug it inside a card reader on your computer. You can buy one for less than 30$ if you don't have it on your computer.
Transfering the pictures this way is much faster, and it saves your camera's battery

My flip camera says its empty but when I try to record it says its full??

Your memory card may think it's full if you've been deleting pics from it when it's in your PC and not in the camera.

If you've offloaded all the pics you want to from your memory card, put it back in your camera and "reformat" the card - there should be instructions how to do this in your camera manual. (If you've misplaced your manual you can likely find an online version on the website of your camera manufacturer). Hopefully this will fix your problem.

From now on, (even if you have to buy a new memory card), don't do any editing or deleting of pics directly on the memory media while it is in your PC (or Mac). Offload your pics to a file of their own on the PC (you can edit pics from that file). Then put the memory card back into the camera, verify that you did indeed successfully offload the pics to the PC (with the media card out of the PC), then delete the pics from the card while it's in the camera.

Reformat the memory card periodically (in the camera) after you've offloaded your pics (reformatting will erase all pics so you've gotta be sure you captured them elsewhere) to maintain the 'health' & full functionality of your memory card.

thanks.

Impossible to connect camera with PC. no driver in the PC for camera powershot A510. What's the matter?

Just figured this one out. Man, they don't make it easy. I'm borrowing my roommate's PowerShot A510 and since it has a USB port going out, I'd assume I could simply connect the camera to my PC and access my images directly. Almost every other camera I've seen will register itself to Windows as a straight USB connection (prompting the Windows screen asking how you want to open the connection - 'open folder' etc). This one just sits dead quiet about things :)

If you've just bought this camera at a garage sale or are borrowing it or for whatever other reason do not have the "bundled" software and driver CD or have the camera's serial number, do not bother trying to find windows drivers or try to obtain any software from Canon. You won't get very far.

FINALLY found the solution in the User's Manual (which was free thank God). You can download the manual here: http://usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/digital_cameras/powershot_a_series/powershot_a510#BrochuresAndManuals
(Select your operating system and download the "PowerShot A520/A510 Camera User Guide". File name is PSA520510CUG-EN.pdf)

In the User Guide, page 107 (I'll paraphrase):
1. Put camera in Play mode (the switch on the back (green arrow in green box)
2. Press Menu button (center one of the three along the bottom of the view screen)
3. In the 1st menu option (Play Menu, again green arrow in box highlighted), use the wheel button to scroll down to highlight "Transfer Order". Press Set (center of wheel).
4. You should now see "Transfer Order (DPOF) at the top of the screen and "Qty. of images 0".
5. Below "Qty of images 0" you'll see "Order", "Mark All", and "Reset". Order lets you select individual images; Mark All marks all current images for transfer; and Reset is reset. Press Set to choose.

Note: pressing the Menu button while selecting images brings you back to this main screen. If you are already at this main screen and you aren't ready to do your transfer yet, DON'T press the Menu button from this screen as it will initiate the transfer to your computer. Not a horrible thing, but might cause a mini freak-out.

7. Once you're selected the images you want to transfer, from the main Transfer Order window (now showing "Qty. of images" with a count of the images you selected), press the Menu button.

8. You'll see a white progress bar at the bottom of the screen. Don't worry! it's not deleting files or something bad.. (my first thoughts :) ..
9. Go to your PC and Voila! the Windows AutoPlay screen is now active!
10. Proceed with normal Windows USB operations (transferring at least, I didn't try any deletion).

I hope this helps somebody else out there who spent the last 3 hours trying to dig through internet hell to get this to work.

Atm, this is as much as I know so I probably don't have any good answers for any questions. Sorry :))

But, hope this helped at least!

Here is the location for your "Getting Started Guide" and "User's Guide." You can view them as PDF or as a Web Page.

Page 21 of the PDF document in the User's Guide shows a picture on how to install the wire and where to install the wire.

Hope this helps, if it does please give me a ranking, thanks!
