Msg button flashing

Dear friend, You have not written about your model no. Yet if you are sure that you don't have any unread msg, then its happening because your msg memory is full! Please clear up your msg memory by deleting some msg's . I am sure deleting some msg will help you. Regards, Priyank Abhineet.

Vehicles Without Message Center To reset the system, press and hold the odometer reset button and wait for the "TIRE PRESSURE SET" light to illuminate. Continue to press the button for 3 seconds, then release. After 3 seconds, the low tire pressure warning lamp will flash 3 times, indicating that the low tire warning system reset procedure is complete.
Vehicles With Message Center To reset the system, press and hold the SETUP button and wait for the message center to display "REST FOR SYSTEM CHECK". Then press the RESET button and wait for the message center to display "HOLD RESET TO RELEARN". Press and hold the RESET button for 3 seconds. The message "HOLD RESET TO RELEARN" and the low tire warning lamp will flash 3 times, indicating the reset procedure is complete.

Press down the "find handset" button until the paging beep stops (about 5 seconds) and this will reset the indicator lights on the handsets.

Is the flashing light the message button or a lot of the buttons ?
If it is the message button then press Intercom/DN, # 409 and hang up. That is the code to cancel a message waiting light. If random buttons are flashing you probable do not have the phone plugged into a system port. Try plugging the new phone into aother jack with the same type phone to see if the phone is good or bring a known working phone and plug it into the jack you are using for the new phone and see if it operates the same way, that will let you know if the phone is bad or the jack is not wired for your phone system. Don't know about other models, but I just called RCA small business phone support (800-511-3180) to find out how to clear the message light indicator on my 25210 2-line cordless phone when it continues to blink but there is no message.

All you have to do is hold down the delete button for a few seconds and it will clear. Hope this helps someone else from going batty!

If you have vmail and no msgs and the only light that is flashing is the light at the top right of the display, what that is flashing for is someone set a msg to your phone from another phone on your system. Try this :

without picking up the handset , dial 43 .
the display should show the ext # that set the msg and an option to reply or clear . press the btn under the display where it says clear and the msg will clear and the light will go out.

I do not deal with your system but I see similar problems in other phone systems. This MAY be what is happening...

 

The message light can be a voice mail indicator OR someone on another phone in the building can leave you an intercom message (no voice system used or required). In those cases you need to return the message by pressing the MSG button, this should make the phone ring that left you the message in the first place. That phone needs to be answered to return the message and cause your light to stop flashing.

see if this corrects the problem. . .press and hold menu/voice mail button to enter the menu. . .press the zero/oper button to go to the message waiting programming option. . then press the edit/flash button to reset tne Message Waiting Indicator. . "DEL" will begin flashing..press the redial/save/ pause button to delete this indicator.. . a long beep will sound to confirm a reset/removal of notification..press menu button to exit. Theo
