Do you mean the DGX-640? To my knowledge, Yamaha doesn't have a D6X line of keyboards. Most of Yamaha's manuals are available from their support page: http://download.yamaha.com/top/?site=usa.yamaha.com&language=en . The DGX-640 support page is http://download.yamaha.com/search/product/?language=en&site=usa.yamaha.com&category_id=16084&product_id=1056822 . Scroll down to find the owner's manual in various languages and other documents. Yamaha provides javascript links to the manuals on the site; these do not resolve to specific direct links in my browser history.

Yamaha has the manual for the PSR-270 keyboard on the product site: http://usa.yamaha.com/products/musical-instruments/keyboards/digitalkeyboards/portable_keyboards/psr270/ . The owner's manual for the Portatone PSR-275 is available from Yamaha on the product page: http://usa.yamaha.com/products/musical-instruments/keyboards/digitalkeyboards/portable_keyboards/psr-275/ . Click on the Suppport tab and look at the Downloads section. The English version is right there. For the manual in other languages, click on the More Downloads link and scroll down from the search box area. The links are done in Javascript so you'll need a modern browser to resolve them. The direct link to the User's Manual (in English) that came up today in my browser is http://download.yamaha.com/api/asset/file/?language=en&site=usa.yamaha.com&asset_id=3111 . This is a PDF file so you will need Adobe Reader or a similar program to read or print the manual.

Click on the Support tab and look the Downloads heading. If you want the English version of the manual, just click on the second link. If you would like the manual in another language, click on the More Downloads link.

Yamaha has the user's guides available as PDFs for most of their instruments on their site: http://download.yamaha.com/top/?site=usa.yamaha.com&language=en . Enter PSR-6000 or select Pianos & Keyboards > Portable Keyboards > PSR-6000 and then press Select.

It is shop replaceable. I have heard this is NOT an uncommon problem. You can get the parts through Yamaha America in California. Here is your service manual:
