Dear friend,
If you are using Excel or other spread sheet, you shouldn't print in draft mode. You'll need to use Normal or higher definition.

Regards.

SOURCE: Printer problem

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

SOURCE: Printing Business Cards

My problem with alignment was caused by the printer being set to the wrong paper size (A4 not letter). This may not be a solution to the first problem.

Lexmark won't print on Avery labels

The printer is expecting the label stock to be loaded into the manual feed tray, not the regular paper tray. If it does not sense anything in the manual feed tray it will not continue. If you are loading the stock in the tray, it may need to be pushed further into the try to trigger the sensor.

HP C4280 incorrect paper feed

Check your printer's capability.

Buy the card stock they recommend.

If all else fails, print on plain and take card stock to a copy shop and have them do it for you.

Walking there beats going nuts over stupid software or hardware problems

Printing on templates

This is normally set through the page margins within the software you are using not the actual printer settings. MS Word has templates for various Avery labels, but I've found after loading the template you have to fine tune the margins for your printer. Use plain paper to print test pages and hold them over your card stock to check alignment.

Printing avery labels

You need to change the paper settings from plain to something thicker. The toner is not being heated properly for it to fuse to your paper. It needs to run at the correct speed and temperature in order to adhere properly.
Set it to a heavier stock.
