DELL DIMENSION 3000 FLASHING ORANGE LIGHT HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM?

The power supply needs to be replaced, How old is the system, Can you provide the tag, i may be able to get you one for little or no cost. if your interested :)

I have a Dimension 3100 everytime I turn on tower an orange light comes on Please help???????

i removed the connector at "J5J3 pswrd."

this is the blue thing between the battery and the card slot.

i tried everything else such as new M/B battery. remove/change ram. take out extra card, etc.

I just fixed my dell dimension 3100 by doing this.

Flashing orange light on power button of Dell Dimension 5150 ...

If you experience the dreaded blinking orange power light, make sure to check your motherboard for blown capacitors as well as corrosion on the motherboard. Looks like the photo below.... if you see this then a replacement motherboard is needed.

Dell Dimension 3000 flashing yellow light

Replace the power supply with a known working one. If it goes away then you know that the original power supply is bad.

If it doesn't go away with the new power supply then you know the motherboard is bad and would need to be replaced.

Dell Dimension 5150 automatically turns off

That flashing amber light is usually a sign the power supply is failed or is failing. I would suspect the power supply is the problem in yours. It is the better of the two problems connected with the flashing amber light..the other is motherboard is failing. Arrrr!
hope this helps (it takes a standard- oh say 350 watt 20-24 pin power supply unit.)

call DELL support and explain to them, they have send your the wrong type, what you have is IDE, they have send you the ATA. which the motherboard can connect.

Dell Dimension Computer will not turn on

Hi try taking the front face panel off first and see what is obstructing the button and put the panel back on again.If you dont know what to look for behind the panel then its better to take it to a repair shop.

This means that the computer is receiving electrical power, but an internal power problem might exist.
Ensure that the voltage selection switch is set to match the AC power at your location (if applicable).

Ensure that the processor power cable is securely connected to the system board. You have to open the cover and locate these parts. If you are not confident then I will suggest that you take assistance of a technician
