I forgot my yahoo username and my password but i know my yahoo email address

People sometimes forget their email username or password even both.
Fortunately, you can retrieve your username if you can supply some information that verifies your identity.
However, if you forget your password, you must select a new one.
You will need access to the alternate email address you supplied when you created your current email account.

Go to your email program and click the link under the sign-in fields to recover a lost email ID or password.
The title of this link may vary, depending on your email program.
For instance, look for "Can't access your account?" in Gmail and look for "I can't access my account" in Yahoo! Mail.
Clicking this link will take you to a page with several options.
Select the appropriate option to retrieve your email ID.
For instance, select "I forgot my username" in Gmail and "I forgot my Yahoo! ID" in Yahoo! Mail.


Enter the alternate email address you provided when you signed up for the email account.
You may have to enter other information as well, such as your date of birth, country of residence and zip code.


Go to the email account for the address you provided.
Open the account recovery message from your email service provider to view your username.
If your username is not provided, there should be a link.
Follow the directions included in the message to retrieve your username with this link.

Reset Your Password

Click the link beneath the log-in fields on your email account sign-in page.
In Hotmail, this link is titled "Forgot your password?" and "Trouble signing in?" in BigString.
Choose the relevant option on the following page to retrieve your password.


Type in your user ID and press the "Enter" key.
The email program automatically sends a message to your alternate email address.


Go to your alternate email account and open the message from your email service provider. Follow the directions in the message to reset your password.

Unfortunately, no one but you (unless you entrusted it to other people, you can ask THEM) could possibly know your own username and password.

Right below the Member Login box, you'll have to click "Forgot User ID or Password? Click Here" and input the EMAIL ADDRESS you used upon registration so they can email you your username and password or a password reset link.

Check your email afterwards. Just follow the instructions in the email: they're fairly straightforward.

If you don't have an alternate email address for them to email you instructions you may go to gmail.com or myway.com and create one

We can't do that because only you know the details regarding your password (old and new) and your email address.

What you can do is go to Yahoo! Mail login page, type in your username and click "Forgot Password"

After filling out the required information, Yahoo! will then give you a new password which will be sent to your alternative e-mail address.

Go to Yahoo mail again and use your email address to login. And then go to your security settings and change that password to any password you want.

If in any case you have forgotten your username and password.

Fllow these easy steps:

You can get a new password, a Yahoo! ID reminder, or both. If you forgot your Yahoo! ID or password, go to the Sign-in Problems page.

If you forgot your Yahoo! ID, you need to provide three pieces of information so we can confirm your identity:

• Your birthday
• Your ZIP or postal code (at the time you created your Yahoo! account or when you last updated it)
• Your alternate email address -Note: You must have access to this email address
• Country code (at the time you created your Yahoo! account or when you last updated it)

Be sure to provide the same information you gave the last time you registered for a new Yahoo! ID or password or the last time you updated your account.
If you forgot your password, you can create a new one. But first you'll have to provide the following information so we can confirm your identity:

• Your Yahoo! ID
• Alternate email address, mobile phone number, or the answers to your secret questions

A Reset Your Password link will be sent to your alternate email address. Click the link and enter your new password in the Reset your password page.
If you entered your secret question incorrectly or forgot what you originally entered, for security reasons, we cannot tell you what your Yahoo! ID is or let you create a new password.

Kindly click on the below mentioned link and sign in using your email address and password,in case you forgot, click on the link FOrgot username or password

Try clicking " Cannot Access My Account or forgot password or forgot username " near the sign in button.

Answer the security question or give the secondary email address correctly so that you can reset your password/username.

Yahoo allows you to reset your username and password using an alternate email address.

Simply go to the yahoo! sign on page and click the link as shown here:


and follow their instructions to get your password emailed to you at an alternate address.

if you know your back-up email (or secondary email) that you posted when you made the account, hit the i forgot my name and/or password button and enter that email address. all your information will be sent to that email.

++ If you forget the username:
Goto http://mail.yahoo.com/ then click on "forget your ID or Password", then a page will appear for you in next step and then choose " I forgot my Username" and click on "next", for now, you should insert your alternative email,Birthday,country of residence and postal code (as you inserted before). for next step, you'll reset your password and now your previous address mail will send to alternative mail
* Note: if you forget the alternative email,birthday,country of residence or postal code, you won't give it back! you should remember them exactly

Do the previous steps, but instead of  "I forgot my Username", you should choose  " I forgot my password"
