Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today.You dont use the spring tool when replacing the thrust bearing. Only when removing the brake.It can be hard to get on but no special tool needed.

gringing noise is never a good sign check the main bearing these are notorious for having bearings go and if it is bearing find a new machine its not worth fixing it is costs more then the machine is worth to replace

Hi, The most common problem is the thrust bearing kit. The thrust bearing is located on the lower shaft of the transmission. The kit includes a new pulley and hardware. The part #12002213 also includes instructions.

If the motor is running and the water gets pumped out but no spin, it probably needs a thrust bearing kit, which consists of a new pully, bearing and cam.

All you will need is a 12002213 thrust bearing kit and new belt , the bearing comes with instructions , lay unit on front to do this you schooled not need a transmission

Your Thrust bearing on the bottom of the transmission is not releaseing the break. try turning the pulley with the belt off in the opposite direction this should free up your break. If it doesn't replace your brake ststor and rotor as well as your thrust bearing. This should solve your problem. Roger

You have a bad transmission.

Ap, start with the tub and basket, make sure there isn't anything caught in between preventing it from spinning. Im assuming you already checked the belt. Next would be heavy duty stuff like the thrust bearing and brake. The brake may not be releasing. You can check this by turning the pulley counter clockwise slowly and seeing if the transmission spins. If not, the thrust bearing and brake may be bad. There was a number of service flashes out on this model concerning the thrust bearing, transmission and seal kit, vibration in spin and snubber kit. These things may be covered under warranty. In the event it's your transmission, it has a 5 year warranty on it....Catriver..post back.
