Hello,

The F2 error code means that the over overheated by at least 100 degrees above the tempature that was set at the time. The usual reason the oven would over heat by so much is a defective oven tempature sensor and the sensor would need to be tested to see if is the problem to test the sensor it would need to disconnected from the wiring to it and measure the amount of ohms of resistiance AT ROOM TEMPATURE when the oven is off and cool. At room temp. the the meter used to check the sensor should display between 1060-1100 ohms,if the number is vastly different that 1060-1100 at room tempature the sensor is defiently bad and should be replaced. This is what the sensor looks like All the functions works well, but after a few - oldtech2332_129.jpg
it will be inside of the oven chamber and again to properly check it the wiring should be unplugged and the meter leads should be placed into the plug at the end of the sensor to measure the ohms

Tried to do self cleaning on oven, about 10 minutes in got "f2 locked door" and it won't clean. what is that all about?

Error code F2 on clean cycle is indicating that the maximum permissable cleaning temperature has been exceeded. (or it's got too hot!)

However it seems unlikely that that would happen in just 10 mins. more likely it is a problem with the oven temperature sensor which should be checked over as should the lock switches..

While working near my Jenn Air Oven (Model JJW8527CAB) the function keys were possibly touched and the oven started displaying F7 error code and is continuously beeping. Pressing Cancel does not help....

Oven keeps beeping:
As there is no reprogramming of most control boards try this, disconnect the power and wait 30 seconds and then reconnecting the power.

If it's an "F1" fault code this generally implies an electronic oven control (EOC) failure. Disconnect the power, wait 30 seconds or longer and then reapply power. If "F1" returns upon power-up, replace the electronic oven control.
The oven control can be accessed and replaced from the rear of the control panel.

NOTE:Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the panel from behind the console.
If its an F2 ERROR CODE, The F2 error indicates an open circuit in the oven temperature probe.

if Your range has a resettable thermostat in series with the oven temperature probe. If this thermostat opens the clock will display F2 and the oven won't heat.
You can reset the thermostat by pushing in the reset button on top of the thermostat.
Some ovens have an alarm that will beep continuously every six seconds to alert you that the oven is still on. Usually, a kitchen timer that you have set will cause the beeping, but occasionally it can be an error with the oven's settings. If it is the kitchen timer, you can simply push the "Kitchen Timer On/Off" button to end the continuous beeping. If that does not stop the beeping, it is probably beeping due to an error. You can turn the continuous beeping off but you may still need to troubleshoot the issue that is causing the beeping noise.

Re: my whirlpool digital oven

The red key sign is a lock against children. To cancel it you have to hold the two buttons at the same time for 5 seconds (you activate it the same way).

The STOP sign appears after the cooker switches of after a power cut. You just have to press the left button, and, using the right knob, set the time.

F2 error code

Similar problem. When baking over 400 degrees we get the F2 code that can only be reset by cycling the power at the breaker. Replaced the electonics to no avail. I'm thinking its the cooling fan located between the oven and microwave (upper unit) it never comes on which may cause a separate temp switch to generate the F2... but I'm not a pro. :)
