You have to open laptop bottom cover. Please check for and removable sticker in the bottom side of PCB . You will get a CMOS clear jumper pad. Short the jumper pad with screw driver or connection wire.

Turn the computer off....
Open the left side panel.
Find the CMOS battery on the system board.
Take the battery out and short the 2 connections in the round battery casing for 10 seconds.

How do I clear the CMOS password on my Satellite

Hi,

To remove the bios (cmos) password, With notebook turned off;

Open Wi-Fi Cover that's located under the laptop and remove the WiFi card, locate & Short Out pin JP1 for 15 Seconds, or short out pin G1 for 15 seconds.

Sometimes you have to short the pins out while turning the laptop on.

The power on (bios) password will now be cleared so you will need to enter the bios to input the date and time.

All LED lights up but nothing comes out of the monitor and the LED for HDD is not blinking.

Make sure if you have a 4 pin 12 volt connector on the board, it is making connection to the supply.
Try disconnecting the power to motherboard from supply and disconnect your CMOS battery.
Short the clear CMOS connections to assure memory drain.
Remove and reseat your CPU and Memory.
Re-install all remove and try the unit.

Need to reset bios password for acer 4620 laptop. tryed removing battery on mb . no good . ? passmord bios

Try removing the main battery and the CMOS battery (ie the battery on the mb). If you don't want to wait for 1/2 hour for the CMOS to discharge then short out the CMOS battery connections with a bent paper clip.
Then without instralling both battery, power up your laptop, you should then get into the BIOS, power off and re-install your batteries.

4 seconds long beep

I think that either you have a bad power supply or it is not connected properly. I suppose it could also not be supplying enough power.

Try disconnecting all of the connections to the Motherboard and reconnecting them. Make sure they seat properly. Try a new power supply. You can get a good one from Newegg.com
