Need to know what motherboard is in a toshiba satellite p505d s8007

It's designed by Toshiba but manufactured by HannStar the part number for the motherboard is DA0TZ2MB8X0 (where "X" is the revision code) you will need to disassemble your laptop to see which revision you need, it can be A,B,C...), so far i have seen up to revision "D"

The bios chip is located close to the center in the top section of the motherboard and there is a "U1" mark close to the chip, the chip manufacturer is Windbond part number is 25X80VSIG.

okie thank me a lot first cos i have the solution or atleast the reason... hate me cos i am the bearer of possibly bad news... the problem is at chip level... a processor needs to be supplied with uniform voltage and power for uninterrupted operation whil handling huge calculations it is not capable of withstanding sudden changes in voltages... for this purpose what we have on a mobo is a chip called the core voltage controller this chip makes sure that the voltage sent is uniform... this chip on ur system is blown
2 solutions exists take a deep breathe relax one is to replace the mobo-cost approx400$ take a deeper breathe ask for toshiba assistance instore and get this chip replaced cost 100$(i took the second option costed me 4500 rupees in India)

I am receiving an error code from a toshiba satellite m35x-s163. The beep code is 1-3-3-1. the machine is unresponsive.

If your notebook has a Phoenix bios then the code you are giving is for Autosize RAM.

The first step is to reseat the RAM chips in the computer.

Locate your user’s manual as it will have detailed instructions and pictures for safely removing and replacing RAM chips.

Without the manual:

1. Unplug the computer.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Then located the door to the compartment that houses the RAM chips -- make sure you are thoroughly grounded with a grounding strap before you touch the chips
4. Remove the screw securing the door, remove the door,
5. Remove the chips, you will probably have to use a small screwdriver to move the RAM locking tabs. Pull the RAM chip or chips out taking care not to touch the contact terminals.
6. Inspect the terminals for any corrosion (if you see any take the machine to a Toshiba service center).
7. If the RAM chip(s) is/are clean carefully reinsert it/them
8. Replace the cover
9. Replace the battery
10. Plug in computer
11. Power on

If you still get the beep codes then either your RAM chips have gon bad or they are the worng chip for your machine or your motherboard has gone bad and you will need to take it to a service center.

My toshiba satellite a100 laptop is no charging . No charging indicator display.Charger is ok. I go laptop service center. He said me that is charging and power ic problem.it is burn and short. but ic is...

If its still under warranty then give it for repairs. Does this laptop have a DC input slot, if so use that since it will bypass the power IC and directly feed the requisite power for operation & charge the batteries too........sodeep.
PS: Laptop replacement of any IC is very intricate and should be done by the manufacturer through their authorised service center. Don't worry there are authorised Service Centers in India, but where do you recide? Then I might be able to send the nearest authorised Service Center address.

Damaged Bios

In older machines you just replaced the BIOS chip with one that had been programmed outside of the motherboard. Newer computers don't have that luxury as the BIOS is often burnt into a chip that is soldered to the motherboard. Too expensive to have chips mounted by humans at the factory. Also, increases the depth of the motherboard and in today's designs, creates additional problems. Your tech at the service center is correct. The warning should be a WARNING!!!
