Just purchased camera and suddely the flash does not work (worked 50 shots before). Neither the flash icon does not appear in display. Before I claim warranty, do you know what happened? Tks - Fernado

Sigma ef-500 dg st won't work with my d300 or 200 in ttl mode

This Sigma flash is not Ittl compatible. The D300 and D200 Nikon must have Ittl compatible flash to operate in any of the Automatic modes. It is a great flash but will not work on those two cameras.

I have just purchased Canon Powershot A480

I think the "busy" part can be put down to the camera performing a function or recharging the flash. The red icon I THINK shows that the camera is focussing.

With the last model it worked so that you could half press the button to focus on something (eg a fast moving pet) and then once your pet stopped moving your could fully press the button to take a photo and the focus distance would remain the same.

Eff error when connecting lenses AF 50 mm 1.8 D to d300 and f stop not on 22. Camera works only when stop at 22.

That particular lens could be bad, try taking it back and get a replacement one.

Flash is not working

The flash icon appears in the upper left corner of display or it appears as circled flash icon? If flash is open and appears a circled icon, then there’s a malfunction contact that don’t communicate to the camera that the flash is open. Your camera needs service! Be sure the upper part of the flash is unfolded, pointing directly in front of the camera (not downward), because the sensor is just in this second folder. If the icon is not circled, press the right arrow until only the lightning symbol appears (forced flash). Try a shot! If the flash doesn’t pops, then your camera needs servicing (burned or broken lamp or other malfunctions).
