Load Resistor Testing for 4400CL and 4600CL Steppers
This video covers troubleshooting of the load resistor on the Stairmaster 4400CL and 4600CL Steppers.Tools Needed: Multi Meter

The load resistor is cylindrical in shape and has metal fins encased in the ceramic coating around the outside. The job of the load resistor is to take the extra electricity from the alternator and dissipate it as heat. Symptoms that one may experience when the load resistor fails are alternating resistance in the pedals or no resistance in the pedals. Alternating resistance can occur as the load resistor heats or cools causing the resistance to come and go. If the load resistor is really bad, there can be no resistance in the pedals.

You can test the load resistor by first following the wires from the load resistor to the lower control board.

Next, carefully disconnect the load resistor wires from the lower control board. Be careful not to damage the connector on the lower control board or the load resistor wires.

Set your volt meter to the setting larger than and closest to 2.5 ohms. Insert each lead from your volt meter into the pins of in the wire connector of the load resistor.

Look for a reading of 2.5 ohms (+/- 10%). If your reading is outside the range, the load resistor should be replaced.

Front load washing machines are better than top load money wise.

One advantage of a front loading washing machine is an increased capacity. Since there is no central agitator, the horizontally-oriented drum can hold at least 20 to 30% more clothing per load. For a large family, this could mean running only three loads in a front loading washing machine compared to five in a top loader. Fewer loads often translates to savings in utility bills and water usage.

Another advantage of a front loading washing machine is less water and detergent usage. A top loading washer must use enough water to cover the highest level of the clothes. A front loading washing machine, on the other hand, only uses enough water to cover approximately the lower third of the tub at most.

Are load range D Uniroyal Laredo LT225/75R16 load range D tires satisfactory, if hauling a full load of passengers or should D Uniroyal Laredo LT225/75R16 load range E be used. 2500 model
The load range refers to what used to be ply ratings, it is now the grade for holding pressure at load, a "D" range is equal to 8 ply, and the load index for this tire is approx 2300lbs/tire, the "E" rating is equal to 10 ply, and the load index is approx 2700lbs/tire. If you are hauling 12 passengers at 200lbs/passenger plus driver total is 2600lbs. I would say the "E" rated tire is better for that application. If you need more info you can go to google and type in understanding tire markings or ratings, and there are several sites that will cover all tire markings in depth, I hope this helps, let me know
