Hello, I currently have a Samsung le32r74bdx LCD TV. The problem is that when I pause an image or put on the TV guide, when I go back to normal TV there is a ghost image left behind. This is surely a fault with the TV? Is there anything I can do to rectify this? Many thanks, Phil

The problem is called pixel retaining, you need to replaced the LCD panel, no way to fix it.

SOURCE: LCD picture distortion.

This is caused by a failure of the main board. The failure causes the refresh rate of the unit to be off creating a trailing or ghost effect. This will require a technician to replace that board though. Hope this help.

Samsung ln40b550k1f screen flickers on and off

When the screen flickers on and off it usually comes from the power supply or backlight inverter being bad. For your TV, the backlight inverter and power supply unit are combined. As you can see in the picture attached it's the white part on the right side that has gone bad. You will need to replace that board. LN40B550K1F Samsung LCD TV Repair Guide

My samsung le32r74bdx remote control wont change channels and cant turn volume on tv up or down

You can verify that the remote is working. Get a digital camera with a LCD display.
Aim the remote at the camera lens and press the volume and channel buttons. If you do not see
a flash through the camera the remote is bad or the batteries are dead.
If you know someone with any samsung hdtv remote, you can borrow it and try the volume/channel
to see if the tv remote receiver is good.

My Samsung LN40A500 40 in. TV began to turn on and off repeatedly, without being able to connect to my pvr. The repair shop diagnosed it as a faulty pc board that has to be replaced. Where is the pc board...

You need to inspect the power supply module first for bad caps with leaking/ulging tops, check the DC output voltages.

5-year old 32 in. Samsung which only displays a fuzzy gray image

It sounds like the T-CON board problem, you can try reseating the connector first, the board is mounted under the metal shield which sometime can be difficult to get to.

Samsung LE32R74BDX 32 in......

just spoke to Samsung support and it turns out that the freeview tuner had froze and needed resetting. To do this put TV on standby and then push in series these buttons on the remote: 'info, menu, mute, power' the TV will then turn itself on and display a menu. Press the 'down arrow' untill you've highlighted option 12 - 'reset' and then press the 'right arrow' to enter the option. TV will turn off and when you turn back on it will start in 'plug & play' mode as if new. Set the time and country options and then it will perform a complete scan. I've just retuned mine and all back to normal. Hoorah!!!! :-)

Samsung tv LE32r74bdx only gives only one channel. Vere few menu are active.

Looks like the TV is in 'Shop' mode. To exit, with the TV switched on, hold the Vol down and Menu buttons on the side of the TV for 4 seconds - the screen will show 'Dynamic'. You should then have all of your functions back.

It might have something to do with wether the VGA cable has all pins connected.
I think some cables don't have all 15-pins wired.
