In need of a user manual for SBG6580 wireless router

Use the default user name and password to login... then you can go to wireless tab and chamge the WPA key to whatever you want.

This code/password is placed by installer or ISP and is the means of access and lock out of improper network access. Ck with your internet provider. They will better assist you. Good Luck -Ned-

The PIN you need for wireless access will either be on a label somewhere on the device itself, or, if not, you'll need to log-in to the router itself to find it.

If you already have a computer connected to the router via LAN cable, you should be able to browse to the router by finding its IP address. This is your "Default Gateway" address on your PC.

Enter that address into the browser, and you should get access to the router. From there, find the Wireless section, and away you go.

The best way and easiest way to do this is go to DD-WRT.com and download their firmware ,they have great wiki forum with extremely easy to follow instructions,if you prefer not to use their firmware it also has step by step instruction with full color pages to walk you through it.

Where is the WPS button on the SBG6580.

The key must be listed the configuration page in the Web Admin. 192.168.0.1 User admin Password motorola.
The manual is not as thorough as others so you need to do a little searching or create a new one. GL

Open an internet browser, in the address area type in 192.168.0.1 (this is the normal address used by the router). Once the router access screen appears try usinfg the factory default login USER = ADMIN, PASSWORD = MOTOROLA.

If this does not work you can try using the reset button on the rear of the router to reset it's setting to factory default settings and try the above method again.
