Hard Drive Issue

you can access the bios settings at the first boot screen here you have to go to you boot priority and make the dvd Rom drive you number 1 in the list, save and exit bios insert the xp professional disc and re-install window. during this process do not reair you copy of xp home just install the xp professional it will automatically detect and delete the old xp home files without deleting any of your data. But DO NOT formatt otherwise you will lose your data. lease the file system as is. the only catch with this method is that due to the xp home registries being deleted along with it. most of the software which was installed on xp home will be there but not work you will have to re install it.
