Internet Explorer's Add-on Management feature lets you view, enable and disable the list of add-ons which can be loaded by Internet Explorer. Add-ons include browser helper objects, ActiveX controls, toolbar extensions and browser extensions.
To view or modify the add-ons on your computer by launching Manage Add-ons:
1. In Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, click Manage Add-ons, and then click Enable or Disable Add-ons. 2. To disable an add-on, select it in the list in the Manage Add-ons dialog box and select the Disable radio button. 3. To enable an add-on, select it in the list in the Manage Add-ons dialog box and select the Enable radio button. 4. Click OK to confirm. Note: Disabling an add-on does not remove it from your computer. It simply prevents Internet Explorer from executing the add-on's code-it does not prevent other software from executing the add-on. If an add-on is disabled, website pages that rely on that add-on may not work as expected. For more information on Add-ons, click the "Learn more about add-ons" help link in the Manage Add-ons dialog box.

How do I put the icon for Facebook on my computer?

If you are using Yahoo, you can click on the sort-of circular thing in the upper right hand corner and add Facebook to the icons - it will appear as a simple f in an icon. Theoretically Chrome can use the Yahoo Toolbar, but in reality it might last for an hour. With Firefox there is no problem because the Yahoo toolbar is an extension (add-on) of Firefox. I believe that Internet Explorer can use the Yahoo Toolbar but it already has too many toolbars already and I wouldn't take up even more useful space with an extra toolbar. On the other hand Internet Explorer just patched 42 holes in Internet Explorer and I cannot recommend Internet Explorer given how porous its security is. I certainly hope that you don't use it. Chrome is far and away the most secure browser with Firefox a distant second. IEx has always been a tragedy.

My Internet Explore says it's operated without addon, How can I make it with addon?

Some add-ons are known to be _NOT_ compatible with Internet Explorer 7 or 8 or 9.
So, rather than "crashing" when you start Internet Explorer, it tells you that it has bypassed the "bad" add-on.

If you use the add-on (Yahoo! toolbar? MSN toolbar? Bing toolbar? Google toolbar?),
then you need to download the most-recent version, and install it.

Otherwise, just use I.E. *without* using that add-on.

I do surveys on the side and a survey asked me to download a toolbar which when the survey was done, was suppose to automatically been removed. Since this specific survey, I have had trouble with my yahoo...

The tool bar might still be running the simplest solution is to right click in the tool bar area to disable it.
If your PC wont let you get this far try running internet explorer without add-ons (start ->programes ->accessories -> system tools Internet explorer If this works you should be able to manage the toolbar from there.

You can also check to see if the toolbar shows up in your installed program lists (start -> programs -> add or remove programs) from this list you can see all applications installed on your PC look for the toolbar you added and remove it.

I keep getting Error 999 when attempting to access my e-mail. I have no security issues, I've cleared history, and I'm wondering why, as I'm reading, "Yahoo has banned my IP address"

I do not utilize yahoo on my internet explorer at all. Yet this morning I was unable to access the internet. The reason read as follows: internet explorer has encountered a problem with an add on and...

The easiest way to fix this problem is to uninstall the Yahoo Toolbar using add/remove programs. Once that is done, your internet should be working again. If you want the yahoo toolbar, you can go back to yahoo.com and download/install it again, and it should work fine.
Today, 12/15/10, I have had to do this on 5 different computers, so my guess is something in the toolbar was updated, and is causing the problems. Reinstalling the toolbar after removing it did not cause further issues.
