Look under the mower to see if the drive belt has come off or broke. It is the belt that runs from the bottom of the engine to the rear axle.

Riding mower won't go nowhere it's got drive belt on but won't drive

Is it a hydro? check the release lever some times i forget too. If its gears then try different gear and check that the belt is engaging fully if the clutch spring broke your pedal shouldn't push back up.

I have a LT 1000 that dies unless the clutch is pushed in. This takes place in all gears including neutral.

there is a safety switch that is hooked too the clutch pedal.change that and you should be all set.

there is no clutch,, you have an arm with a pulley that is spring loaded .. when u release the " clutch" this arm pulls a pulley against the belt taking up the slack ,, make sure the belt is not worn ,, or the spring is broken or loose
