When your camera is connected to your computer with a USB cable, you need to turn the camera on before the connection is established.

That is maybe why the usb sign does not show.

When Iconnect from usb port to camera (Coolpix P90) there is no source shown on Nikon Transfer.

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use Nikon Transfer or any other photo cataloging program.

I have a desktop connected to a ICONNECT ACCESS621 ADSL 2/2+ ROUTER, how do I connect my laptop to the same modem?

The 2+2 means: Combo feature, means 2 computers can connect and access internet at the same time ( one via USB and the other via Network Port) So connect one with a network cable and the other with a usb cable.
