Hi .
Sounds like the oven thermostat is faulty.,
This gives a supply to the element .
The temp indicator should be lit, if it is not, then I would suggest repl;acing the oven thermostat.

Aeg oven taking over 25 minutes just to heat

You can tell if the fan is working, you will hear and see it.
If the element was bad, it wouldn't get hot at all.
If the thermostat was faulty, it usually goes short circuit and makes the element glow in time because it won't regulate the heat.
There are a couple of possibilities left;
Wrong element, too low a wattage.
Bad connection to the element.

My oven does not heat up when in fan oven mode, the inner element does not get hot, the outer element does, Both elements get hot when using the main oven full width grill. ...

From your descritpion and if you already replace elements there are two options.
One is that there is an open curcuit either by a loose contact from selector switch to the elements this can be check with a mutlimeter.
The second option the selector switch itself is mulfuction and this normal after long time use since it consist with power contacts they fail to conect after long and you will need to replace it. If your familiar with electric then you can check it with power on and multimeter to see if it conects the elements or not. This operation need extra extra safety and experience.
We have here one side just to see what part you need the cooker selector multifaction switch

The top oven of our AEG D5701-4 is slow to heat.

Hi it could be the element on the grill it maybe burning out, what slows the grill to get hot quicker. best to turn of the mains or by the main switch. and get a toorch to check around the element or use a continental reader check if it is receving 240volts

Aeg 3050b oven not getting hot fan running and both lights on no heat even when turned to 275 degrees oven was working ok yesterday but seems to have gone all at once

Does the thermostat click and the light go off and on when you turn it up and down if so it is mechanically working.

Fan will run irrespective of element working

Either the element has failed or the connections to the element

Both require you to take the back off the machine to check them out

Heating elementglowing bright red funny smell

I
make sure the fan is working o/k, because if it is not, then the element will get bright red hot.
If the fan is working o/k, then the element will still get red hot, but not bright red.
If the fan is not working, then it needs replacing.

Heat element is not coming on!

It is entirely possible that while cleaning the oven you may have inadvertantly bumped the element enough to cause it's connection to come loose enough not to work. With the power unplugged, wiggle the element where the connection is made inside the oven. If this does not work it is possible the element has 'gone bad'. Sometimes this happens from various causes and replacements are available from the manufacturer
