This may be an indicator of a problem with the Xbox 360's hardware. To help confirm this, turn on your console and check the power supply (the big gray brick) light. If the light on it is red, orange, unlit or anything other than green, make sure it's plugged in correctly. If that checks out, try a different outlet. If it still doesn't work, you'll have to buy a new power supply for it.

If the light is green, then you definitely have a hardware problem. The only way to resolve this is to go to this site where you can ship the 360 in for repairs. If you've bought the 360 less than 3 years ago, the repair will be of no cost to you, and Microsoft will even provide the box.

If it's been more than three years since you've purchased your 360, I believe it will cost $93 to have it repaired.

Well you're either in luck, or in deep trouble. If you have bought your xbox 360 within 3 years, you have a special warranty provided by Microsoft. Call them or go to their support site, and list the problem as having three red light flashing. IMPORTANT it has to have 3 red flashing lights, with only the top right not flashing to have the warranty. They will send instructions and a box, and you just have to wait

This is a problem commonly referred as RRoD (Red Ring of Death) it means your Xbox 360 has a problem. you will have to contact microsoft and tell them you are getting the red lights. They are used to this problem and will help you in a matter of minutes. Microsoft has extended the warranty of ALL xbox 360 machines to THREE YEARS from date of purchase (only for red light problems).

What u do is call up ms and tell them about ur problem they will ship u a box and u will put ur xbox 360 in it and ship it back if it is the red rings they will fix it free or give u a new one thats what they did to me hope this helps.

When you turn on the console, look at the light on the power supply. The power supply light should illuminate green even if the three lights on the Ring of Light flash red. If the power supply is button is red than you need to replace the battery or check the connections.

3 Blinking red lights often means that your Xbox 360 has suffered from hardware failure.

4 Blinking red lights means that your Audio / Video cable is not correctly connected (it's the colorful one; Red, white, yellow; green, blue, red if Component)

i hate to be the one to say but yes it could have. i had my FIRST 360 for 2 months before i had to exchange for a new one. hard drive problems. one i would suggest seeing if you could exchange it where you bought it at and then invest in an intercooler fan for the back of it. that is an inexpensive way to protect your investment from the heat that kills them.
