Your TV is DLP projection TV. DLP is Digital Light Processing. Digitally processed light coming out of DMD (Digital Micro mirror Device) is projected on the TV screen. This DMD is made of thousands of tiny mirrors & the size is about 0.7 inch. These mirrors are fixed with tiny hinges for its movement. They reflect light as per processed signal. DLP is invented by Texas Instruments. When there are dots on the screen, that means the tiny mirrors representing the dots are stuck in its position. If the dots are few & the viewing is bearable, just leave as it is. If the dots are more than bearable then you will have replace the DMD chip which is quite costly.

if this is a DLP tv, white dots mean a light engine going bad. It will soon look like night stars in the sky.

White dots appearing on Samsung TV screen and multipling each day

It seems you might have an issue with the dmd board. Go to the menu, and if the dots still show on the menu, the issue definitely is with the dmd board but if they don't come up on the menu, the issue will be with the video board.

White dots all over screen

this seems to be an issue either with your DMD board or with your Digital Video board... turn on the tv and go to the menu if the white dots appear on the menu the issue is with your DMD board but if they don't show on the menu, the issue would most probbaly be with your Digital Video board
