Intelligent Key insertion indicator. This indicator appears when the Intelligent Key needs to be inserted into the Intelligent Key port.(For example, the Intelligent Key battery is dis-charged.)If this indicator appears, insert the Intelligent Key into the Intelligent Keys port in the correct direction. The battery in your intelligent key needs to be replaced.
If you're in a pinch you can disconnect the ignition coil to shut your vehicle down...DON"T disconnect the battery as this can cause damage.
From there you'll be able to check the key tumbler/ignition for issues within the steering column. Good luck!

Fixing a stuck latch on a car door. Video shows that the door won't close, how to release the latch, the ...
Is your battery frozen? If the charge level went very low on a cold night it could freeze the battery and will not likely take a charge till it thaws out. If the battery froze I would recommend replacement.
Insert the key in the drivers door, turn left, then right to disarm and reset it.
Once this is done, charge the battery.
If this does not work, do the reset again, then disconnect the battery and charge it out of the vehicle. Once it is charged reconnect it. You may need to perform the key reset again afterwards.
If this does not work then the system has malfunctioned and either I can explain how to bypass it if you have some level of electric ability or you will have to bring it to a dealer.
Thanks for using FixYa. To start with if the door lock is stuck and wont unlock then you can pry it to open, and just don’t try too hard. The issue can be with the door latch that is stuck, to unlock it you can stick a flat screw driver behind the door latch and then lever it to open so that you don’t have to pry it to open. Once it’s done, please make sure to replace the door latch assembly to avoid any further issues. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
I also had this problem - and by accident I found that the battery just wasn't pressed down enough onto the contacts when the door was shut. I now use a little bit of cardboard on top of the battery - then I close the door - now it works fine
The most frequent cause of this type situation is not having a power source attached, or a depleted battery pack.
Once the power source is available, some models require manually unlatching and opening the cassette compartment cover. When the cover is fully open, the videocassette will eject automatically.
Please try the following procedures.
1. Attach the power source to the camcorder correctly or use a fully-charged battery pack.
2. Fully-open the cassette compartment cover until it stops while sliding and holding the OPEN/EJECT switch.
The videocassette will eject automatically after a few seconds.
If the videocassette still will not eject, seek assistance from a Canon Service Facility.
