if there is no btu rating but a kw rating then there are conversion tables to work it out
for example a 2kw unit is close to 9000 btu and a 8kw unit is around 32000btu

For instance if it said 075 then it would have an input rating of 75,000 btu/hr or if it said 125 then it would have an input rating of 125,000 btu/hr.

on the outdoor unit, the model number might start with a 38. Hint Carrier and Bryant Products are the Same, just different nametag
With air conditioning, you want to go by BTU ratings, not horsepower. If you can get number straight off the compressor, an a/c supplies could get you an approximate BTU rating.
In most cases, the "Tonage" is in the model number.
Remember, 1 ton of cooling is 12K BTU's per hour.

You will have to contact Sears for this information. Give their service dept. a call and give them your model number which should be located on the inside of the door. They will be able to give you the BTU rating.
