I had the same problem with my BlackBerry Storm. How did i fix it?

Connect the phone to the pc or laptop the follow the below steps:

1. Go to Device Manager and select the BlackBerry option from the list of hardwares displayed.

2. Right click on it and select the update driver software option.

3. Select the browse my computer for driver software to manually locate the folder with the driver for you device: i.e C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\USB Drivers.

4. Click ok and start the desktop manager software if it works if it doesn't, reboot the computer and try again.

Hope it works for you like it did for me.

insert the disc that comes with the phone and run it. this should install all necessary drivers for you but if you dont have it, you can go online and search for the drivers.

Hi, install desktop manager latest version, then you can connect blackberry pearl using usb cable. If you dont have desktop manager software cd, you can downalod it from blackberry.com. I hope this information will be helpfull.

If you purchased your Blackberry new, it should have come with a cable (usually micro usb to standard usb), and a driver/software disk. This allows the BB to both connect to the PC and charge. Depending on the model, it won't charge without the driver installed, even though you may get a small icon that says you're connected.

Also - the Blackberry desktop software will allow you to syncronize your contacts.

What are you trying to connect to, You posted this in blackberry issues. This device will not connect to blackberry.

For computer remove the software reboot the pc then reinstall the software. IF that doesn't work let me know.

Yes on both issues which seem different to me.

1) To connect your blackberry to your IPAQ for Internet requires finding a means to connection share between them. That means having a computer as an intermediary since IPAQ only uses Activesync. Connect the blackberry to the computer and setup the blackberry as a modem. Then setup activesync to share Internet to the IPAQ.

2) Your blackberry will not play video if it is in certain formats, you need to convert it. Streaming sites like youtube do work, but only if you have sufficient bandwitdth. Blackberry's prefer 3GP format.
