SOURCE: I have a TP-Link TL-WR941ND

Can you kindly let me know the settings on your modem and router. Whether they are connected via using bridging mode or ppoe mode. In order to find this simply enter 192.168.1.1 in your browser and enter user id as admin and password as admin and hit enter. In advanced lan settings just click on first right hand side edit button and click next and see wether ppoe is selected or bridging is selected in order to ascertain the ip of wifi modem simply click on start button when connected to internet via wifi modem and select run type cmd and hit enter in the black window type tracert www.google.com wait for few seconds the first ip in the list will be your modems ip. use the same method as described above to find which way is it connected to server bridging or ppoe.

How to update whole firmeware of tplink for w8901g

Sameer, First thing to do is establishing some facts of this router. Please look at the labels at the bottom of the unit and let me know the firmware version. Something like v1, v2 or v4. Pls look here for the example http://www.tp-link.com/lk/Article/?id=46.

You now have to connect the router to a pc with a network cable, that pc is NOT connected to the internet. For instance with a separate laptop, disable the wifi. The network cable connects the router (one of the LAN connections) to the pc.
Invoke a browser and write in the address line 193.168.1.1 with ID admin and password admin. This should open the service program from the router. Go to Firmware upgrade. And follow the rules. Generally you have to check the latest firmware in the TP-Link site and download that file to your pc. IF you have any questions we are always here to help.
Success, Fred

Theencryption key secures your data from unauthorized access. The router's password is a Passphrase or the WEP or WPA orWPA2 encryption key. The Passphrase generates the WEP or WPA or WPA2 encryptionkey and this is in the router's wireless settings. To connect to your wireless router, it needs the router'swireless settings configured ie SSID, WPA or WPA2 encryption key and also thewireless cards in all the laptops and or computers needs to be configured withthese router's wireless settings. Then the laptops and desktop computers can communicatewith your wireless router.

Cannot access http://192.168.0.1

Check to see if the wireless device in the laptop is functional and not disabled by double clicking My Network Places and clicking Local Networks. Make sure that the wireless device you are trying to connect to has solid leds and not blinking, it would not hurt to restart the device. When it has solid leds click the wireless icon on the lower right side of the task bar, search for available networks, choose the one to connect to, and click connect. If everything is functioning correctly it will connect. BPCS
