I have recently purchased the Navman S80 deluxe. Please can you advise if this model supports traffic information and if I need to buy a traffic cradle? How do I subscribe in order to receive updates for speed cameras etc?

Hi.
I have the same model.
It does support traffic information, but only using the traffic cradle.
The S80 is sold with the cradle as part of the deal.
If you register your Navman online you will advised where to get the updates.

LG TU500 Bluetooth connection to Navman S80

That probably happens because the phone book is opened on the phone .

Use a computer to transfer the phone book from the phone to the navman using bluetooth or usb cable.

Navman S80 will not let me go passed the safety agreement

When I turn my unit on all I can see is the accept/decline screen. The unit will not load the maps. How can I fix this?

Step 1
Connect your Navman Device to your computer via a USB cable.
Turn on your device and you will see a connection screen appear.

Step 2
Wait a few Seconds until a window appears on your desktop and then select “open folder to view” by double clicking on it

Step 3
Once you have opened this folder you will need to double click on “My Documents”


Step 4
Once my documents is opened locate and files that starts with “LOG00” and also “My Mileage” and delete them


Step 5
Once the above steps are done you may disconnected your unit from the computer.
Turn your unit on and enter your main menu page 2/2 and select “Preferences” then select “Route Options”

Once this is selected go to page 4/4 and un-tick “Enable GPS data logging” and “Enable trip recording”


Your unit is ready to use and will run a lot smoother due to increasing unwanted data and freeing space to increase optimum performance. We suggest that you follow these steps once a month to ensure optimal performance.

These steps will work on the S50, S80 or S90i. If you are experiencing this issue on an S30 or any other device, please contact Navman Technical Support on 1300 628 626.

I used this personally on my S80 after it died during my work as a Security Patrol officer and I was not happy, its all fixed now and I have my Nokia N95 loaded with the same places just in case.
