Hello,

The F10 error code means that a button on the touchpad is stuck. The error code can be cleared by pushing the cancel/off button and if the F10 returns the clock needs to be replaced since on that model the touchpad is part of the clock.

Kenmore gas oven built in. It has F10 Error Code on the control panel display.

Question edited for clarity.

You need a service call. It's dangerous.

The F10 code on a Kenmore oven means that the oven is overheating - the oven is detecting a temperature far over the safe range of operation. Most models also start beeping when this happens since it can be a safety concern.Apr. 14, 2020

How do I stop an Electrolux double oven displaying a code F10 from beeping.

To cancel the F10 error, you need to unplug the oven or shut it off at the circuit breaker. Usually this error means that the oven is detecting a runaway temperature. Either the RTD (resistance temperature detector) sensor probe, the electronic oven (EOC) or the wiring is faulty.

You can check which one is bad by testing the resistance. The RTD sensor is on the back wall of the oven near the top of the cavity. It's somewhat easier to check the wire at the EOC. Unplug the connector and measure the resistance between the two wires. The resistance should be about 1100 Ohms in a room temperature environment. If you get the incorrect resistance, remove the sensor from the oven and check the resistance at the sensor. If you get the same faulty reading at the sensor and at the EOC, the sensor is probably bad. If the resistance is 1100 Ohms at the sensor, the wiring is bad. If the resistance is correct at all points, the EOC needs to be replaced.

Please add a comment with your oven's model number. I will try to find a source with the correct parts. I hope this helps.

My oven is not baking properly. The tops of banana bread and cinnamon rolls are browned and bottoms still soggy.

It's possible the lower bake element is not working. If the oven takes a long time to come up to temperature, that's a good indication that a baking element (bottom, broil element is on top) is bad.

Pizza, banana bread, etc. doesn't get done in the middle.

some oven temperature dials are adjustable by pulling knob off, turning a bit and pushing it back on in a different position.use an oven thermometer to determine the accuracy of your control knob.adjust knob or make note of difference between dial setting & thermometer reading.i.e.knob is at 350* thermometer says 300* set knob to 400* to achieve an oven temp of 350. could you E-mail me a slice of banna bread?

Oven F10 Problem

PJC,

From the Frigidaire service manual:

"F10: Runaway Temperature.
SUGGESTED CORRECTIVE ACTION
1. (F10 only) Check RTD Sensor Probe & replace if necessary.
If oven is overheating, disconnect power. If oven continues to
overheat when the power is reapplied, replace EOC. Severe
overheating may require the entire oven to be replaced should
damage be extensive."

-hopefully it's just a bad temperature sensor!

Oven emitted black smoke and F7 beeping on display

F7 stuck keypad
Stuck keypad may mean relay is turned on.
Determine if problem is with the Key Panel or Control by:
1. Pushing CLEAR/OFF pad.
2. Disconnecting Ribbon Cable from control and waiting at least 32 seconds to see if Code recurs

If code recurs, problem is in the control. Replace control.

If code does not recur, problem is with the Key Panel.

Getting error code F10 on Kenmore model 47889603 wall oven

Leaving the breaker off for the time I was at work (about 9 hours) seems to have cleared the problem. May have just been an abberation and not an actual problem with the appliance. Since the first step with most electronics that develop a fault of some type is to power down for a while then power back up to reset the electronics, I decided to see if that would do it and it did. Thanks for having a site to go to for assistance, though!!!! -Mike-

GMC305PD

appears that it is starting up the self cleaning feature ( which runs the temp up to the max to burn off any grease etc ) and locks the door.. You may have a defective control board.. or check the self cleaning switch position to make sure that is not activated... Hope that helps..
