I have a sony big screen kp57wv600 and the picture looks like I need 3D glasses. The pictures has a green and red hallo all around the outer picture. The picture is clear in the center and goes out and is double, one is green and one is red it arches. The problem started with a green arch on top and bottom then progresses to this. Is there a bulb to replace? What can I do or is my TV junk now?

Common Problem #1) Convergence has gone out

Projection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.

Common Problem #2) CRT Fluid is Cloudy

Projection TV tubes have a liquid coolant that is used to keep them from overheating. After many years the coolant in the blue and green tubes will become cloudy and cause the screen to look dull, red/orange, etc. You may even see halos around images.

Sounds like a convergence problem. Especially since you said that the screen(picture)wasn`t linear anymore.

If the magic/touch focus function doesn`t clear the problem then your convergence modules may be faulty. They are used to align the three tubes (red/green/blue) deflection. The cost I don't know, but this can be fixed. I'd say shop around a bit. Make sure the repair person is certified for your TV's manufacturer. There are generally 3 lamps in projection T.V.'s, Red, Green, and Blue. They have to be aligned for the TV to project a clear picture. A credible TV repairman should be able to fix it. Depending on if it's new enough to be under warranty they may cover it as well. Really the only reason to get rid of it is if you want to get a new TV anyway. Depends on the cost of having the lamps aligned.
