Camera power problems?

I had just bought my camera a couple months ago. I rarely use it (more for special occasions). It has worked well up until now.

My battery takes forever to charge even though it's supposed to only be 100 minutes. When it's finished charging, I put it in my camera and try to turn it on. The screen turns on with the Fujifilm logo and the lens folds out like normal. But then the screen goes black like it's lost power and the lens stays folded out.

Sometimes the screen goes from the logo to a completely white screen and stays like that. During the white screen, I can't turn the camera off using the power button and have to physically take out the battery.

Thank you for your help. :)

It's not the battery. It turned out to be a memory card problem.

I took out my old memory card and put in a new one. It started working properly after that.

I bought a FujiFilm FinePix S1600 one month ago. I used it for couple of times and was working fine. Then suddenly I couldn't switch it on. When I press the power on just flashes and it is not switched on....

The sounds like a systems control board problem, or the systems control has detected an issue with the camera. The only option is to return it to the place of purchase for repair or exchange.

Canon XSi not powering up

if it has a view finder make sure in the settings that the image is set to show up on the LCD screen also make sure the batteries have a FULL charge which means at least 8 hours of uninterrupted charging before use.

My guess is that with most nice digi cams it is set to not show the image in the LCD viewfinder but rather the actual real time with your eye view finder. look around the menu if you can and see what you can change as far as view finding and if i didn't help please specify the problem a little more and i will be glad to do whatever i can to help.

New kodak digital camera problems

Hey hashbrownz,
What it sounds like to me is the drivers required for the camera to communicate with your computer have either been deleted or corrupted. I would try reinstalling the software that came with the camera, and I have provided a link below from the manufacturer on how to troubleshoot this problem. I hope this helps!

Canon 20D err 99 and shutter going off continuously

its not the battery

its the exposure of the shutter speed of the camera

it might need to be set manually. set it to 2.8 or 4.5 speed

i had the same problem when i bought my sigma 20mm-80mm lens.

the lens wasnt talking to the camera properly, it didnt know what it was aying about exposure speed rate.

put the camera in AV mode and set the speed rate.

the lens might be compatible with your camera even though it is a canon, or it could be defective

return and replace

NEW Batts but keep getting low batt indicator and....

Sorry, no solution. Same problem here. I am very unhappy because initially it took great pictures. The first one I tried only worked a couple of days and I returned to store and they replaced. Second worked a couple of months and now immediately draws down power and won't work on new batteries. I was told to use NH-10 batteries (rechargeable). I did this from the beginning. Still won't hold charge.
