Hello, we have a Xerox Workcentre 7545, the waste toner cartridge needs replacing but we don't have the part yet. Can I manually empty the cartridge in the meantime so we can still use the machine? If so, how do I do it? Many thanks

You have to clean the clear "bubble" also. Any residue toner will show the machine that the container is full.
By the way, this is one of the easiest waste bottles in Xerox brand to empty.

If you can remove the waste toner cartridge go ahead and empty it out manually. Make sure that it is completly clean out. I use compressed air to flush out any residue.

    We did that too, but after a while the message to replace used toner container came up again... so we vacuumed out the toner a 2nd time, and then, same thing again. Is there a "reset" to let the machine know the used toner is gone?

Can Xerox DocuColor 3535 toner ink be used in Xerox WorkCentre 7228?
From experience, I wouldn't do it...
The different series usually have slightly different toner composition, so you may find that your copier will be majorly over-toned or under-toned. by doing that.
I personally wouldn't risk it, and I have been in the industry 24 years...

How do I change the cartridge region from a xerox workcentre 3550
The toner cartridges have a small CRUM chip fixed on the end of each tube. If you change them from a previously empty cartridge then it will still show empty. You just can't fool them.

You didn't clean the bright plastic bubble at the upper inside end.
If dirty, machine thinks it is still full of toner.

My xerox 7545 workcentre comes on, but it does not show the menu screen. it goes to fully on, but could not able to pick up menu screen.
Hello, The first thing you need to do it power down,unplug the workcentre and let sit for 2 mins. Plug back in and observe. If this doesn't work it will result in a call to your service provider and a field tech will have to trouble shoot the problem.

The spec sheet has the toner cartridge and drum cartridge part numbers (listed as Supplies)

Toner Cartridge 6R914;
Drum Cartridge 13R551

When copier has printed about 18,000 pages the J2 drum cartridge light will come on. The unit will print about another 1,000 pages before the unit stops working until the drum cartridge is replaced.
