Ps3 40 GB upgraded to 160 GB but it won't work

Here's a few options: Soft Rest

- Hold down MODE + RESET for few seconds
- Press the Power button to turn on the device

Hard Reset
(This will erase all of your data inside the device)

- Hold down MODE + RESET + POWER for few seconds
- Press the Power button to turn on the device

------------------------

Firmware Downgrade/Upgrade (2.9 > 2.8 > 2.9)
(This will erase all your data inside the device)

Software Downgrade/Upgrade

- Connect your Garmin Forerunner 305 to the computer
- Press the UP arrow button and hold while doing all the other steps below
- Press MODE + RESET for a moment (the computer will recognize the device)
- Dowload the Firmware from Garmin's website.
- Downgrade Firmware from 2.90 to 2.80. (You are still holding on that UP arrow button!)
- When the update is finished the Forerunner 305 should power on running the Firmware 2.80.
- Let go of the UP arrow button, disconnect the device from USB, connect it again and the computer should recognize it normally
- Update the Firmware to the current version.

Go to playstation network and look for entering safe mode there you can repair file structure and that fixed my PS3 when it did the same thing.

have your controller wired to the PS3 when you start this.
1. turn off the system.
2. press and hold the on button do not let go you will hear 1 beep then a second beep then the system will shut off(red Light)
3.press and hold the on button do not let go you will hear 1 beep then a quick 2 beeps immediatly let go of the button. in a few seconds a screen should appear saying to connect your controller to the system with the cord. once you do and hit the PS button it should let you know you are in the safe mode.

Try a master reset:

• Turn off the unit.
• Plug the unit into an electrical outlet.
• Take a microSD card out of the slot. (Empty the microSD card slot.)
• Press and hold down the power button for a few seconds while pressing and holding down the "Home" (Silver Push Button) button. (Both "Power" and "Home" buttons must be pressed down until he see the phrase "upgrade system activated" in the middle of the screen.
• Release both buttons once the phrase "upgrade system activated" appears on the screen.
• Wait until it reboots. You will see the following sentences on the left top corner of the screen: Can not find any update image. Press MENU/KEY_VOLUMEUP key to init SD card, Press BACK/KEY_VOLUMEDOWN key to cancel.
• Press the "VOLUME UP" key. The volume up key is located at the left side of the unit and the button is closer to the built-in camera than the volume down button.
• Wait until it finishes making a partition and shut down the system automatically.
• Once the unit is turned off, your system will be reset to the factory settings. Thus, your previous data are lost at this point.

Remove thwe new RAM and hard drive. Does it boot to the BIOS menu? If yes, add the hard drive and do the same again then add RAM and do the same.
I suspect something does not fit in properly. Probably the RAM.
Don't forget to initialise the hard drive if trying to format it. The System disk should take care of that.

try to turn off the laptop, then remove the cables and battery on the laptop. Then press and hold the power button for 5 seconds. Reinsert the cables and battery on the pc. Turn on the pc and play games. Check if your pc could sustain. If not, try to upgrade your memory on the laptop...

Try restoring your console.

When the system is off (red light) press and hold power button for 1 beep then two fast beeps and let go. The restore menu will pop up.

have you tried formatting using ms-dos?it works many a times when windows format shows an error...the command is 
format x: /fs:fat32
where x: is yout tsonic...
If that doesnt work,try this 1.download the appropriate firmware from here  2.press and hold reset button for 2 seconds  3.run the firmware updater  4.press and hold "play" button while connecting to system.  5.the updater will detect the player and it will upgrade the firmware.

i have the perfect solution...
step 1- plug usb into controller, make sure the system is off
step 2- press thee reset button on the back of the controller then turn your system on with the systems on-button
step 3- once the system is on, press the ps button.
step 4- remove the usb and then pres ps again
step 5- it workz, gud lukk!
