My compaq NC6220 prompts me to insert smart card into smart card reader when booting.

The boot order is incorrect - it lists the card reader as the first option. Go into the BIOS (F10 during boot) and change that: put the CD_ROM first followed by the hard disk.

I have an HP Compaq nc8230 when I boot my laptop there will always insert smart card reader, I must first wait one hour then starts normally

Hi, once the computer is booted to windows successfully go to the "Device Manager" find the "Smart Card" Device and then right click on the device. Click on the "properties" and click on the "Drivers" tab. Then click "Disable" disable the Hardware. Click on "OK" and "APPLY". Restart the computer. This will resolve the issue.

It's a Weird Issue: You can try pressing the Notebook under the two "ALT" buttons(Don't press the 'ALT' buttons), this is required to be done whenever you are booting.
