Facing the back of television, if it occured while putting top right screw, that is because, you screw touched power module casing and the fuse inside the TV is gone. All you need to do is goto radio shack or any local store and get a replacement fuse (250v x 5 Amp) and replace it. It may cost you less than 2 bucks.

Symptoms:
TV powers off and never turns on.
May even power in that room or house may have been tripped.

Resolution:
lay the TV face down on the floor.
Remove the screwes ( may be 10 - 15 screws)
Remove rear casing of the TV. It is single casing covering entire rear face of the TV.
Fuse is visibe as soon as you remove the casing.
Replace the fuse.
Put the casing back.
Start enjoying the TV.

Prevention:
Do not use longer screwes to mount monitor brackets on TV casing.

GOOD LUCK!!!

I have a 37 inch olevia hd tv..It was mounted on the wall but now we want to put it back on the base and cannot find the screws to reattach the base to the tv. Can you tell me the size of the screws?

This is a difficult one as you have about 50sizes possible for this one. Try calling olevia and giving them the model # they might have that info but its pretty technical and more then likely you'll need to go to a Home depot and just pick up several fine threaded screws (about $.05-$.10each) and try em all to see which one fits. Its a pain but may be the only way. Make sure you don't get them too long as this will damage the threads or not tighten the mount. Try about 1" to 1-1/2" screws. depending on how thick the base plate is. you want about 3/4" of the screw inside the tv depending on how deep the threads (can stick a toothpick inside it to gauge how deep) so ad 3/4" to the thickness of the base plate.

Replacement stand

Get/measure/mark spacing of mounting screws.
Punch through paper sheet if necessary.
Measure clearance required to wall.
Find out how much TV weighs.
Search places that sell generic stands, such as E-bay, hardware stores, Hi-Fi retailers, etc.
Match to fit or re-drill holes.

Tv stand screws

Check the kitchen drawer next to the fridge for the screws !!

When you get new screws, use lengths 1/2".. any longer and you might hit something inside.

Don't know why this is posted under IS-LCDTV26.. I would pull a screw from my 26" and measure it, but it's most likely different than your 42"

Olevia 227V LCD

I just repaired a 26" in which the stand came off after I took the primary panel off in the middle of the back then the screws were visible that Olevia is talking about. You might have a different style but it does come off.

How to Remove the Base

I have an Olevia 42" TV. I was able to remove the base by removing 16 screws on the back side. They were arranged vertically in 4 sets of 4. The screws go through the back panel, through the base and attach (without nuts) directly into the inside of the TV. After removing the 16 screws the stand simply slides out.
I tried removing two screws underneath the base area. They were small screws and were a pain to remove. I thought I would try that first instead of removing 16 screws but that did nothing.
Good luck!
