Making a bench machine on the tyan dual core pentium III mother board

Rebooting is tipical of Windows XP when there is an important error. Most of the time this error is coming from the hardware.
There is a way to know the error code that make Windows XP mad, but you have to eliminate the automatic restart option.
With your mouse right click on My Computer, select properties, select advanced and you should see something similar:
70d8605.gif
deselect Automatically restart.
At this point next time you will have the error instead of rebooting you will see a blue screen with some message at the top and some code at the bottom, please write them down and post them here.

In case you cannot even enter in Windows XP because is keeping rebooting too fast, try to do the above steps in Safe mode.
To enter in Windows in Safe mode you have to press F8 as soon as you boot and before you see the windows logo on you screen, then select safe mode and repeat the steps above.

Last but not least, please send me the exact type of motherboard, processor and memory that you are using.

My dell laptop keeps rebooting itself no matter what mode i try rebooting it in, it just keeps going round in a cycle, the furthest i get is the microsoft windows xp screen then starts all over again

if it keeps on repeating again and again have your laptop check by pc tech, a device failure or software is causing these to your laptop, take it to tech as soon as posible to avoid any more damage to the unit, dont do anything if youre unsure on what to do

Installed a rangeplus adapter on dell 1000 inspiron xp sp3 home

See if you can go into safe mode by hitting the F8 key right after the dell splash screen and right before the XP splash screen comes up. If you can get into safe mode try to uninstall the rangeplus adapter and try reinstalling again after rebooting the system normally.

XP Keeps Rebooting at Startup

Hi,
Most likely it is your hard drive. There is a boot sector on the hard drive and when xp starts it looks for that boot sector. If that boot sector is damaged xp can't find it so xp reboots again...and again...and... Try a different hard drive and see what happens.

How t install windows xp on compaq laptops 104 108 tu

Have a bootable operating system disc. Make sure you have set your boot sequence in your bios: 1st-CD, 2nd-Floppy and last Harddisk drive. To go to your bios, when rebooting your system, press your Del key continuosly until it opens you to your bios menu. Save and exit after setting your boot sequence.
