My Toshiba tv keeps jumping from channel to channel on it's own

Hello
Check whether any control buttons on the front panel of the TV is strucked or not. It is best to replace all microswitches of the front panel of your tv. You have to open your tV and detach the control panel printed circuit board, desolder out one microswitch among them for a sample, and go to buy a new one. Replace all the switches at the same time. It won't cost more. They are very cheap to buy. You can bought it from most of the electronic spare part selling shops at your town. OK.

Sony won't turn on

Hi,

Please let me know the exact model no. of your TV to accurately diagnose where the fault came from. Also, please check what is the status of the LED at the front panel, does it has a steady, blinking light, if blinking, please count how many times it will flash. Some of the blinking LED denoting an error code.

Tv won't switch to "tv"

Your T.V. is programmed to store the last input you've selected. You have to manually switch it back to your T.V. channel input after each time you switch it to HDMI or any other input even when you turn it off. The "Source" or "Input" button on your original T.V. remote will change this.

I have a visco TV and I cannot get it off of channel 1. The remote does not work so I bought a universal remote but it still won't work. I tried to codes for NEC and Polariod as suggested by others,...

There should be channel buttons on the TV itself, try using those. Also, you may want to try changing the input from the Cable Box.
I am curious as to why the remotes don't work. Also, how did it get onto channel one. Did you get the TV used?
Here is a link to the AV Science Forum. It seems other people have challenges with this TV as well.
