I Have a GE Spacemaker over the stove microwave. I think it is 1000 watts. It's 7 years old. Everything works but it doesn't heat anything. There is 23 volts going to the fan unit in the center. What is probably wrong?

HELLO.

Since there is an amount of volts from the outlet, the fault is from the microwave breaker.

The solution is given below.

Reset the microwave breaker.

Take the back cover of the microwave off with a screwdriver.

Inside you will find a motor.

Most microwave motors have a small red reset button on them. Hit that button.

Your microwave should work again if the breaker was the issue.

Thanks

Light bulb above stove under microwave hood

According to the GE manual it is a 120 v 20 watt halogen bulb, the GE product number is WB36X10213. That is the cooktop light/nightlight that would be on the stove hood. HTH!

GE eterna spacemaker microwave won't heat

The problem is a magnetron, "heart of the system" or the inverter board, "if 7 years old or less" and possibly the keypad control board, all of these items are not cheap and lethal voltages are present.

The exhaust fan works, the light below the microwave that shines on the stove top works. It appears to be functioning properly except that it won't heat up food. The GE Spacemaker Model JVM131001 is...

I'm all for fixing appliances but in your case I would suggest replacement. After 24 years of service the magnetron is probably only putting out half of its rated wattage. It could also be one of the reasons of the no heat condition.
