Has it been recalled?

Doesn't look like your model was recalled, but you could always contact the manufacturer to confirm since the baby's safety is your priority. Below is an article I found with the affected serial numbers.
Kolcraft bassinets recalled due to fall dangers Consumer Reports News: May 09, 2012 04:38 PM

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a safety recall for certain bassinet models made by Kolcraft Enterprises Inc., of Chicago, Ill. The Kolcraft Tender Vibes and Light Vibes bassinets have locking latches which may fail and cause the bassinets to fall, possibly injuring a child inside.
The CPSC and Kolcraft have received seven reports of latches detaching from the bassinet frame. In one of those incidents, one infant received a bruised cheek when the bassinet fell from its metal frame and landed sideways on the floor with the infant inside.
Consumer Reports experts note in our buying guide to bassinets that for now, there are no federal guidelines for those pieces of infant furniture other than safety standards for such items as small parts and rough edges. So, a baby crib-which must meet federal safety standards-is the safest place for a sleepy infant say our experts. (For more information, see Crib alternatives to avoid and Safe-sleeping tips in Consumer Reports' Babies & kidssection.)
This current recall involves about 46,000 Kolcraft bassinets which were sold at mass market and independent juvenile specialty stores nationwide and online from July 2008 through May 2012. The recalled Kolcraft Tender Vibes bassinets include model numbers KB021-ARC, KB022-VER and KB039-CMR1 and the Kolcraft Light Vibes bassinet recall is limited to model number KB043-BNT1. (Model numbers are printed on a label located on the side of one of the metal frame legs of Kolcraft bassinets.)

We purchased 4 ethan mini cribs in December 2011 and have been unable to get a certificate of compliance. We have been calling the manufacturer and have gotton no where. All cribs made after June 28

manufacturers and importers by law have to comply and fit a compliance plate to the equipment or supply a certificate with a serial number for each unit
If they fail to respond to a request for that compliance certificate or plate , contact you r government authority ( work health and safety) and notify of a non compliance with the regulation

Need to find the bedrails for a Bassett CRib 5925-0521

Call 1.800.308.7485 Bassett. It is a Bassett Furniture dealer in Virginia. They are very helpful. I was told to use standard full size rails with hooks on each end and that would fit. :)

I have a simmons crib that is ten years old and has a drop down side and plastic hardware. It has been a great crib. With the recent recall what options are there? Are there replacement parts available?

I have a similar crib. It's old, but it is in great shape, and we've had no problems. We don't even use the drop side because we're both tall. I emailed Simmons at [email protected]. They sent the following response:
>>
Hello,

I am sorry; with the recent announcement by the CPSC your crib would longer meet the safety standards. We are unable to supply the parts or instructions to any crib over 10 years old effective 6/24/2010. Your crib model was manufactured in 1995. We will not have a fix or replacement parts for this crib.

In keeping with industry and regulatory safety standards – cribs manufactured before 2001 will not be furnished with the Immobilizer Retrofit kit.

Cribs older than 10 years old have surpassed their lifespan. The reason for this safety standard is to ensure the quality of the crib has not been compromised, the wood may have possible degradation or the crib could have possible or broken parts and no longer meets the current government safety standards.

If your crib was manufactured before 2001 – please discard the crib and do not use or try to repair it yourself.

If you have any questions on the recall or safety standards you can go to www.cpsc.gov.

Thank you,

Laura Dietz

I need instructions for a Simmons Crib Model No. 1322 91 239. We are missing the foot release for the drop down side and need to see what parts to order.

The Assembly instructions for hte 1322 crib show it is part #8, but I see the stabilizing bar as permanently attached to the catch lever which is #7. The gate shoes (part that actually latches), is part #12... there are two of these which clip into the catch lever (#8) when the side is elevated. You need to provide the model and the parts that you need. Here is contact information from the web page http://www.simmonskids.com/consumer_service.cfm:

I have a bassett 3 in 1 crib model # 5860-0620 and have lost the instructions trying to get copy so i can put crib together

I called Bassettbaby after reading about drop-side recalls and they sent me a conversion kit to immobilize the drop-side of this crib to make it fit the new safety standards. While I was talking to their customer service rep, I asked if they could also send me a copy of the instruction manual as I purchased my crib used and it did not come with the manual. The rep emailed me the manual right away - I've uploaded it to Google Docs for anybody else who might need it. I highly recommend calling their customer support at 800-308-7485 to get a conversion kit if you also are using this crib.

I have a 1998 MODEL NO.305AIP LOT NO.71/98 KINDERKRAFT

Congratulations on your new grandbaby!

I have the 1999 version of KinderKraft's Crib 'N Toddler Dreamer No. 305. (model # 305NAT) I don't know how similar these are to each other, but I have used mine over two years for my son and have not had any problems. I recently converted it to the toddler daybed and I am very happy with it.

The slats on mine are 1 1/2 inches wide and the gaps between them are 2 inches wide. The standard for checking gaps is a soda can. If a standard size soda can fits between the slats of a crib, it is not safe. I don't know about any of the other features of your particular crib, but I hope this helps.
