Hi, I recently bought a bottle of Salley Hansen "No More Breaks". Found that the polish chipped off as soon as my hands came into contact with any form of soap. Be it shampoo or dishwashing liquid. I thought that may it was because I had only applied 2 coats of polish, but the third time around I applied 3 coats and waited for each coat to dry thoroughly. No luck. The polish chips off each time. Could I have bought an old bottle, or what do you think the problem is.?

Well, if you have this problem with all nail polish, then you can safely assume that the problem may be that you have oily nails - in which case your nails will secrete oils that lift the nail polish off your nail, causing it to chip.

BUT

If you are only experiencing this problem with this particular bottle of Salley Hansen, then it is likely that it may be a formula problem.

For both instances, try using a primer and a base coat polish BEFORE applying the Sally Hansen. This will improve the adhering of the polish to your nail no matter what the problem is.

Where can I find OPI nail polish 'My Throne for a Cranberry Scone'? Seems it has been discontinued...

I have found it only one place on e-bay. Go to http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=160607466519 or go to www.eBay.com and type in item number 160607466519. That is the only place I have found it so far. The price is $13.99 plus $2.75 for shipping and they have two bottles left. That is the only place I have found it so far, hope this helps and feel free to contact me with follow up questions.

A very small chip on our new porsaline hand basin glued the chip in again but needs i think painting the chip is about the size of a small pea but can still see where it is chipped

1) I was a painting contractor for many years.
Over the years, we tried touching up curtains and wallpaper and carpet etc.

2) You will have a very difficult time matching gloss and color of porcelain

Maybe semi-clear fingernail polish. Use clear polish and add a dab of white into the bottle ... see if it will shake up and make translucent polish >>
3) Personally I think 'paint' increases chance of making the repair much worse.

4) Whatever paint or fingernail polish you put on the spot will probably peel off easily if you decide it looks worse. But 'paint' can get into repair crack and be more noticeable.

5) Get a magnifying glass and look closely at why the piece doesn't fit.
Did the piece fit as well as it should?
Or is the glue holding it out?
If the glue sticks up a bit, then take exacto knife and surgically cut away glue.
Or use lacquer thinner or acetone and try to remove glue line.

I think acetone would be my first choice before trying anything else.

6) If repair is on side of basin, then live with it for a year and see if still bothersome. Eyesight and memory get worse over time.

The only thing we successfully touched up was outdoor brick and fiberglass roofing materials, mostly because they were outdoors and couldn't be inspected closely, and the surfaces were flat without any shine whatsoever.

Ricoh CL4000DN. I recharged the magenta toner using the OEM cartridge. I replaced the chip as instructed and all elements snapped together without difficulty. However, now there is a "check toner...

Hi, the chip on those toner bottles stores information about how much toner is left, so once that chip registers an empty toner bottle, it won't work even if you attach it to a new toner bottle. You'll need the chip from a new toner bottle, or one that hasn't registered no toner.

Hi. My 06 Vantage which i bought second hand has stone chips on the front bonnet and the vallance on the front of the carr at the very bottom the thin strip is cracked and finaly all four alloy are...

That depends entirely of the hourly wages of the shop. Fixing the bonnet, replacing the skirt and polishing the wheels should take about 15 man hours - find the wage and do the math.

Chipping/peeling rusting paint in interior under carousel

Hi,

Scratches and bare spots are fairly common, but should be addressed as soon as they arise so the corrosion will not spread and arcing does not occur.

Unplug the power cord and remove the turntable and the support that is under the turntable. Clean the surface of the support wheels or any other part that rubs on the oven cavity.

Take some mild sanding cloth or scotchbright and clean the bare and rusted areas in the microwave. Use appliance touch up paint to re-coat the surface. You can find the touch up at most anywhere that sells appliances, it comes in a plastic bottle similar in appearance to fingernail polish, yes it does have a brush inside.

Let it dry per the instructions on the bottle or 24 hours if not specified.

Break failiure

Well sounds to me like you might have some moisture in the fluid which can cause the breaks to fail. Have your break system flushed totally out and refilled. Brake fluid is very touchy. If you leave brand new brake fluid bottle open for a few days it will draw moisture from the air and ruin the fluid.

I chipped my stove pretty bad. What can I use to fix it

hi,

at the appliance parts store they sell appliance touch up paint. nail polish may work, but may not last. If they dont have your exact color you can try calling an automotive body shop and get a small bottle of touch up paint from them maybe.

good luck
