Connecting to PC via PC Connection Cable

Do you have usb cords and usb connection on your camera? You will have to download drivers on to your pc for the camera. You may be able to get them at the panasonic website or others.
The driver has to be updated for pc to recognize the video camera. After driver is downloaded, turn camera on, than connect it to the pc.
Than, go to "my computer" and look to see if the camera drive is there.

are you using the software that came with the camera
it sounds like you are trying to just move the video from the camera to your pc using the microsoft operating system software. microsoft operating software doesn't recognize the file type the camera saved the video in.
