Unfortunately, the best and easiest way to update your maps would be to purchase the upgrade through mio. If you are looking for an illegal/pirated version of the update, you will have to do some heavy searching to find one. I quickly searched some potential sites for the australia maps, but I could not find what you are looking for. Unfortunately, mio is not the most popular GPS brand and free mio map updates are much more difficult to find than Garmin or TomTom map updates. My recommendation would be to pay for the legitimate software, or buy a Garmin or other GPS if you can find a good deal. Here is a new Garmin GPS you can get for 69.99 with free shipping: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Garmin-n%FCvi-2200-3.5-Inch-Portable-GPS-Navigator----Brand-New%2C-Free-Shipping%21/110814035515?_trksid=p1468660.m2000037 Good luck!
Magellan has withdrawn from European PND market, but have partnered with Mio (http://eu.mio.com) to offer a Trade In towards a new Mio device.
Try and give them a call :)
