I don't know which is my skype password and which is my skype address. I need to give my skype address to people who want to contact me. can you clear this up for me?

If you know the email address you signed up with on Skype, just visit the Skype website in order to reset your password.

log into ur skype click on skype now scroll down to sign out now change ur username and password to the account u want to use, since u r using the same email address just make sure u enter the password for the account u want to use, please vote if this solve ur issue.

You can go to the skype website www.skype.com and then select the forgot password option which would use your email id to send you the reset link.

Welcome to Fixya. If you forgot your password with skype you have an option to reset it. all you need to do is to provide the email address that you've registered with skype and skype will send you the password.

After you get the password from him you'll be able to log on and change the account settings. Your other choice is to open a new account. I would suggest opening a new account, unless you have a large list of contacts, this will not take long.

1. If you have the latest version of Skype ( 5.2.60.113) you can check this by going to Help(on the right hand side of the menu bar ) (click on it after you sign in to Skype) You will see a window with 4 tabs, Skype Home, Profile, Facebook, and Give Feedback (to the right of where your contacts are shown) If you do not see this after signing in to Skype, you need to update to the latest version

2. Then go to About Skype. If you don't have the latest version, under Help>Check for updates. Click on it and upgrade to the latest version.

3. To update your profile with your information, you need to click on the Profile Tab. Then select edit. Then click on the blue links to add numbers, email addresses etc.

With a username and an e-mail address, you can send a request for a new password to Skype.
To receive the password, make sure your SPAM settings are right.

Also make sure the e-mail address you signed up with, is still in use.

1) Username / e-mail address: Enter Skype in browser or Explorer address bar. Double click user folder, double click, or open (with Notepad), profile 256 or 4096. Email address and user name should be there.

2) Username: do a Skype search for your own username and fill in as much as possible

to look for your username in his/her contact list.
