The counter on the front of my 4DTV receiver will not change. The east and west limits are only two numbers apart and i cannot change them.I can bump the dish up and down with the arrows but the number on the counter l will not change I am stuck on satellite C4 and i get the two shopping channels Thank you for any help you can give. looks like you have to take off some plastics

it will be the coil pack to number one cylinder
in general
number one cylinder on a V6 east west ..is normally
closest to the serp belt on the front bank

Spray some penetrating lubricant around all the edges of the rotor (front and back), give it about 25-30 minutes to soak in, and then go to town on it with a hammer banging on one side and then the other (North south, East west, South east north west etc)

As a pure shot in the dark, are you sure that you calibrated it so that it was pointing to the north when it should be and not to south?

If it was pointing south instead of north, then East and West would be reversed.

Sounds a bit daft but better than the directions of east and west changing?

Check your calibration perhaps?

Unfortunately the Simon 3 has a limited vocabulary. The alarm company probably did the best they could. It will tell you the zone number 1-24 but you may already have the best audio descritption you are going to get.

eject the disc and reset the radio. then try to insert the east coast disc again. should work again after reset

this means the digicipher board needs to be changed and this can be expensive almost the price of refurbished one - and another reason is the battery is dead or weak

I assume this is a larger Satellite Dish with a motorized arm to move it from sat to sat.

There's 3 things that can cause this:
1. Limit switches in the back of the motor are not aligned properly.

2. No power to the motor on the 2 larger power wires. Bad wiring, bad box in house, blown fuse.

3. Magnetic pulse switch in arm not sending pulses to box. Bad sensor, or bad wiring. In this case the motor would move a bit then stop.
