The elctromagnetic tape may be jammed inside. Open the front access to the VHS and inspect for some jams such as toys (if you have kids). You can try grabbing the VHS tape with something while pressing the eject button. Sometimes it needs some assistance to overcome the jam. Good luck!

Have unit hooked up, but cannot get the vhs casset tape e to remain in player, keeps ejecting.

Typically a VHS tape has a button on the underside that unlocks when pressed inside the VHS player. The wheels unlock and move the tape in the VHS. If this doesn’t happen, the tape will eject.

Vhs eject will not release tape.

I had a suggestion that did work. Reach into the VHS compartment with left hand and press down toward the back of the tape. With the right hand press the eject button a few times and the tape did come out. I would not buy a Samsung product again. No help from their 800 tech support. No more playing the VHS side of the player. Lynn

Why does the VCR ejects my tape?

The VHS PlayPak adaptor uses 1 AA battery. When you place your VHS-C tape into the adaptor and close the cover, you will hear the motor running and the red piece on the adapter will move inside. Check the placement of the battery and make sure the clear shrink-wrap has been removed from the battery.
